War is Trauma
War is TraumaIraq Veterans Against the War/Justseeds collaboration, 2010-2011This collaboration between the Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) and Justseeds Artists’ Cooperative started as a street poster project in November 2010. A number of Justseeds artists provided graphics for "Operation Recovery" - a campaign to stop the deployment of traumatized troops and win service members and veterans right to heal. We covered Chicago in these posters, which were pasted in public, replacing corporate advertisements with messages of GI Resistance. My role in this project includes the Eugene Cherry print, the War is Trauma graphic seen in the wheat-pastes, and helping to coordinate the wheat-pasting campaign.
